Description
The Ruthenberg faction of mainly "American" Anglophone communists left the CPA in April 1920. After less than a month of independent existence, it joined with the Reed-Gitlow Communist Labor Party in Bridgman, MI to form the UCP. Almost exactly one year later the UCP and CPA met at a farm outside Woodstock, NY (of all places) to form the final CPA.
